Despite the fact that the 2021 edition won’t count as African rally championship round, the Federation of Ivorian Sports Automobile[FISA] is ready to stage a glamorous event and all drivers are extremely ready for the prestigious rally held every year.

The 47th edition of Rallye Bandama for the first time in many years will skip being an event of ARC round as a result of covid 19 which put a stoppage on all sports activities around the globe, forcing the CAMS extent 2020 African Rally championship calendar to 2021.

Since Rallye Bandama had been already executed in January 2020, automatically it wouldn’t feature on the ARC calendar year of 2021 hence runs as a local event.

Regular drivers and National Rally Championship contenders have geared up for the event and each is focused on a win.
Maxime Tino Abondio the Ivorian champion 2019 driving a Mitsubishi Evo 9 told Hapasport that

“we’re here to do our best and the best, if our car behaves.”

“I have won here and I’ve been winning before in Yamousoukro so am here to to do the same again with my co-driver Hugo.”

“We are coming to enjoy ourselves and after enjoyment we have to make sure it’s a win, this time the car feels good and it’s in good shape than ever prepared by Jean Luc, so we want a win and we thank our fans and sponsors to believe in us plus the sport, let them expect the best” added Abondio.

Another Evo x driver Nobou Frederic said “The pressure has been mounting but now the car is ready and good to go, only waiting for scrutineering this Friday morning.
This event is special and we have to treat it special to get results after our impressive start of the season in Grand Lahou where we finished 2nd.”

“We want to go for maximum points to add on the 15 we have so far, and hopefully everyone is going to enjoy this rally. Beating Gary chaynes its hard but doesn’t mean it’s impossible so we shall revisit the conversation after the event.”

“We thank our fans and sponsors for the event and cant leave out Hapasport, let’s go and enjoy the rally,” added Nobou.

The Yamousoukro based event will also introduce new three crews from Gagnoa which will debut to show the mighty in Ivorian rallying.
The Rallye Club de Gagnoa [RCG] is made up of Traore Amara/ Soumaila Sylla , Ouattara Abdoul/Dembele Yousouf and Ibrahima Fofana/ Ouattara A.

The event is going to run for three days starting with a super special stage this Friday afternoon at the Foundation grounds, just one kilometer away from Hotel President where the ceremonial start will be held.
And the prize giving ceremony will close the event on Sunday afternoon.
