Eric Bengi’s Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X will be adorned with a striking new livery this year, The more of yellow livery represent the long term close partnership with menengai a sister company to Kabras sugar.
The 2018 group N Kenyan champion is out to prove a point with the very Mitsubishi Evolution x that didn’t work up to his expectations in 2019.
Hapa-Sport had a word with the champion after doing test runs in Athi River as the team was preparing for Guru Nanak rally due this weekend on 9th February.

“The car feels great! We had a good test, running different setups and we got good balance in the end”.
“We are looking into settling into a nice rhythm and just enjoy the drive. Usually that’s when the best results come”.
“Last year was unfortunate. We ended up having a combination of bad luck and mechanical breakdowns which culminated into a year we quickly wanted to forget”.
“We therefore totally reworked the car during the off season, and we are confident that we will have a good year”, said Bengi.

The Guru Nanak rally has attracted two foreign crews from Uganda, these are Yassin Nasser of team Moil in the Subaru GVB and Christakis Fitidis sponsored by oryx energy in the Mitsubishi Evolution x.
