Eastern Motor Club [EMC] has been the organizer of Jinja rally quite for some time, and no doubt it’s one of the best clubs when it comes to staging motorsport events.
EMC missed on the rights to organize the event in 2018 and last year , the governing body [FMU] under the leadership of Dusman Okee banned and stripped off the rights from the club alleging it had finance issues and misunderstandings among its members, which the club president _Kagolo Kees_ rubbished later.
FMU took over the would-be EMC challenge rally 2018 and branded it _FMU challenge_ while in 2019 the rights were awarded to another club. The club gained its rights this year and it’s back with a bang.
The event has attracted 48 entries beating that of concluded Mbarara rally which had 33 and yet only 29 started, among the sponsors that pulled to join hands with EMC to make this event a success is the International University of East Africa [IUEA]_ who is the event main sponsor, among.
The club president Mr Kagolo Kees is thankful to everyone and each of the sponsors who are committed to see this event happen, and calls for maximum safety from all fans who will move to East to cheer on their teams over the weekend.
