Karan Patel seems has no time to rest after spending the Monday day testing his newly acquired Ford fiesta R5 in Athi River in preparation for forthcoming Guru Nanak rally which will be the season opener of KNRC.
In the video Karan looks so aggressive and determined to fire the Ford as he’s too fast and furious. If he makes the final entry list this will be the third outing of the Ford fiesta ever since he acquired it last year .
Karan patel is famous in the Rally circle as he is the only youngest driver in Africa to feature in modern day World Rally championship Platform as way back in 2016 under management of Tapio Laukkanen, Karan secured for himself deal to appear in WRC under DMack Cup rally.
The Drive DMACK cup was a joint initiative between DMACK tyre and Malcom wilson’s M-Sport the cup was introduced to help provide a cost-effective platform for upcoming drivers to experience the FIA World Rally Championship. Where by all the competitors will contest using identical Ford Fiesta R2T rally cars prepared and maintained by M-Sport, But now the Dmack cup has been replace with FIA Junior WRC Champion though the major rules still remain the same the FIA Junior championship is the biggest prize package in rallying’ and is structural in allowing the best of the next generation to showcase their talent on the international stage. The 2020 Champion will be handed the keys to a brand new EcoBoost powered M-Sport Fiesta R5 Mk II with 200 Pirelli tyres, free WRC 3 registration for the 2021 season and five free entries. Should the 2020 Champion go on to win the 2021 WRC 3 Championship they will then receive two drives with the M-Sport Ford World Rally Team in the 2022 season.
Karan did the DMack drive cup and was really impressive as he did five WRC rounds of Vodafone Rally Portugal, ADAC Rally Germany, PZM Rajd Poland, Rally Racc Spain and the famous finnish round Neste Rally Finland where he performed best finishing 42nd overall in WRC class, 5th overall in Drive DMack Cup and 8th overall in RC4 class.
The question is, Can Karan fly past flash Tundo and Baldev Singh at Guru Nanak rally?? Keep posted with hapasport
