The Safari Rally project Managing Director Phineas kimathi who also doubles as a member of FIA World Rally Championship Commission and Angela Mwirigi the KCB bank group Marketing and Communication director heaped praises on Abdul Sidi for his generous effort in future Rally Stars grass-roots talent development through his Abdul sidi rally advisor (ASRA) platform.

Both Phineas Kimathi and Angela Mwirigi thanked Abdul sidi for the major impact he had in Motorsport.

Abdul Sidi who felt so happy about the recognition and kind words of encouragement says Personally, I must say it was a total surprise and caught me totally unaware. I was touched and really appreciated the special praises.

Abdul Sidi further added that he has special interest across the Continent especially in Burundi, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda.

Abdu Sidi through his ASRA platform has produced lots of Rally Drivers, Navigators, Marshals, Time Keepers and volunteers across the Continent at free cost since it was first introduced in 2010.

This was during KCB kenya national Rally championship and autocross Launch press conference held in Nairobi on 05th February 2020 Where KCB bank through Angela Mwirigi the Marketing and Communication director once again announced a sponsorship package worth 20 million Kenyan shilling approximately $200,000 US dollars for 2020 Kenya National Rally championship KNRC season with additional 5million Kenyan shillings equivalent to $50,000 USD for Autocross and the giant bank is yet to announce their sponsorship package for WRC safari Rally.

Phineas kimathi confessed that he was pleased with the latest announcement “KCB has been our long term partners and their support has help KRNC grow in strength and number, it has helped us revive WRC Safari Rally.
