It’s going to be epic once the Malagasy NRC returns with round 4 at Tanari dubbed Rallye Tour De Tana this weekend.
Mika Rasoamaromaka in his Peugeot 208T16 R5 will start the event confidently after two back-to-back wins from vakinankaratra and Boeny that gave him momentum to seat second on the championship table with 128 points.
“It was an amazing weekend for me because I won the 15th Rally Boeny. It was my hardest rally because of the temperature and it was my first time on sand roads. This weekend will be very important to us for the championship because there is a big battle between the top 4 in my category.” Mika said.
Mika’s twin brother Faniry will debut a Mitsubishi Evo x R4 after misfortunes with the Peugeot 206 WRC in the last three NRC rounds most probably dropping out as he leads the rally.
“We are going to do the best for this event the objective is the first place.” Faniry told Hapasport.
Mathieu Andrianjafy will bank on his consistency from the last three rounds where he finished 4th in NRC 1 and 2, then the 3rd podium in Boeny that made him solid in the contention of the championship edging Mika to top the table with 131 points.
“Am on the lead but it’s really tight with the R5, hope we’re consistent.” The Subaru N11 driver Mathieu said after Boeny.
Tour de Tana will run for two days starting from tomorrow Sunday 11-12th September with 41 crews registered to start the event.
