The ecstasy of 2020 rallying season opener in Uganda, will be nowhere else but Mbarara City in the West part of the country as it’s been all years.

The Mbarara rally 2020 as sponsored by “Rukaari” this time, has attracted 33 entries only unlike the previous NRC opening events where entries shoot up to 40 plus in the same city.

The top drivers who have beaten the registration deadline to start “Rukaari Lake Mburo Mbarara rally 2020″are, Duncan Mubiru, Ronald Ssebuguzi, Arthur Blick Jr, Omar Mayanja, Ponsiano Lwakataka, Lubega Godfrey, Hassan Alwi, Jas Singh Mangat the event defending champion who will return ever since he last appeared in “POAUG” Rally 2019, among others.

2019 Champion Yassin Nasser of team Moil and 2017 champion Babis Fitidis have 50% chances of participating if only, their cars can be in Kampala from Kenya within time and fit for the event.

Some of the drivers who won’t show up in the season opener are Jonas Kansiime, Super lady champion Susan Muwonge among others. The driver to watch in this event however, all eyes will be on the rookie driver Rajiv Ruparelia who is expected to give top drivers a run for their money. The rally will start on Friday with scrutineering in Mbarara City, then Saturday 15th cars will hit the road from Lake View Resort Hotel to the routes of Mbarara and kiruhura Districts.
