Guy Botterill has announced a major African Rally Championship campaign in 2020 with support from Toyota Gazoo Racing South Africa and his Zambian team wildcat racing.
The South African born wildcat racing team driver a fortnight ago announced that he will be contesting for the African rally championship in his wildcat racing Toyota Etios R4.
Guy Botterill is excited about the return of WRC to African soil. And said he can’t wait to take part in the safari rally in Kenya.
However, the team makes three drivers Kelvin Mhlanga and Zubair Essa being the other two, it’s understood that Botterill will represent the wildcat racing team alone and will be in Ivory Coast for the ARC season opener Bandama rally scheduled on 21st – 23rd February 2020. In his breaking news video Guy mentions the ARC host countries he will travel to, Skipping ARC host Uganda and Tanzania in the-short recorded video and it’s not known if he will do these two rounds. Botterill has been running two championships of recent the South African national championship and Zambia and made a record of winning two national events at the same weekend, he won in South Africa on Saturday and fly to Zambia and also won on Sunday. His Zambian teammates may take on safari Rally 2020 though not yet confirmed.
