The Bwera Bistrol rally as dubbed will commence the Motorsports resumption in Uganda amidst’ the Ministry of Health and FIA guidelines strictly.
Enforcing the SOPs, from competitors to technical crews, will go through the covid-19 testing process to be able to access the rally headquarters in ssembabule district on 9th April, well as no spectators will access the Racing areas.
The event will be run on private farms to ease the control of the population in case. Only identified authorized media personnel will access the premises for live updates.
As most of the crews are gearing up for the event, the final entry list shows the shell-sponsored duo of Arthur Blick and Ronald Ssebuguzi will miss the opening round of NRC 2021 since their names are missing from the final entry list. Fitidis Babis Christakis and champion Yassin Nasser are the other usual suspects missing in action for unknown reasons.
The ever number one entrant Timothy Gawaya by press time his name too was not on the list, as Jas Mangat returns after missing the opening two rounds in 2020.
Adam Rauf Essa also will return in the cockpit after a while, since he last appeared in Hoima rally 2019.
The event will run for only one day on the 10th and there will be no super special stage as usual. After scrutineering on the 9th, all competitors will go for 6 stages totaling to 179.73km on the 10th, and the rally will end.
